An American lady who is a resident of New York converted to Islam in the holy city of Mashhad. She said: “On the day of Arbaeen in New York I met some Shia Muslims who gave me food which they had cooked for that day.
When I asked them questions about Imam Hussain (AS) and the events of Karbala, the answers I got interested me a lot.” After reciting Shahadatayn, this American lady converted to Islam and chose the name of Amina for herself.
This newly converted Muslim said: “Islam is a complete religion which can meet all the needs of the human beings and has comprehensive instructions for good living. I studied Islam and chose to convert to Shia Islam.”
She added that: “Inside the shrine of Imam Reza (AS) I feel security and peace of mind.” This newly converted Muslim studied about 4 years about Islam.
